Doctor Fate will need to continue his path.
People around the world still need to be saved and both Khalid and Kent need to work together to save them all but there are bigger problems ahead.
You know, despite that basically nothing happened in this issue, I can't help but enjoy it.
Paul Levitz his story by delivering the usual superheroics that owners of the Helmet of Fate can do. There's not a lot of new aspects but what I liked about this is the character dynamic and presentation. Yes, this is more of the same but the interactions between Khalid and the rest of the cast is still entertaining and even his family and friends manage to have solid moments on their own.
Plus, there are some little sub-plots going on between the action scenes like the presence of a new threat as well as some compelling exploration of the mythos.
Sonny Liew is definitely the strongest creator here due to his ability to sell the script with a quite creative style and storytelling skill that makes each panel really distinctive and enjoyable to see.
Solid but I hope the next issue offers more plot.
