Earth 2's days are counted.
Ultra-Humanite is willing to use kids to conquer the planet and their only chance to stop him, Green Lantern, is gone in more ways than expected.
Yeah, I get the feeling that everything is about to end one way or another.
Dan Abnett offers a new chapter where he continues his story about the Ultra-Humanite while also developing more of the lost plot-points from the last run like the inevitable encounter between Dick and his son who is being manipulated by the villain. Is a relief to see this finally being addressed in a logical manner.
The character work is solid with the cast reacting to the current attacks in different ways while also contemplating the possibility of having to abandon a planet once again. Alan also plays an important role here and the final pages makes his presence even more relevant.
My biggest complaint here is the art. Tony Harris, Wade Von Grawbadger and Angel Hernandez share art duties and their combined work is not that consistent with Harris' work being the worst of the three due to his exaggerated character models. Hernandez' work was pretty solid though.
Enjoyable but I hope there's a future for this series.
