Some thoughts about Deathstroke #1

Deathstroke's past continues to return.

Slade has finally found Wintergreen but their escape won't be easy since the Clock King has more tricks than they could imagine.

Is good to know that the Rebirth issue perfectly connects with this one.

Christopher Priest offers a new chapter where he focuses on the Slade's past and how vast it actually is. The premise about the story perfectly fits with that idea due that the appearance of the Clock King gives a nice excuse to explore different moments of the protagonist's history and how it has been influencing his current personality. The rest of the cast and their importance is also being revealed and it seems like most of them will play a pretty relevant role in the future.

If I had one complaint though, is that the fact that they keep jumping between different eras makes the pacing a bit jumpy. However, I don't think there was any other way to do it so this might not be a complete flaw.

Carlo Pagulayan handles the artwork and is pretty good looking with beautiful characters, precise storytelling and intense action scenes.

Definitely solid and I hope it continues this way.
