Some thoughts about All-New Wolverine #9

The Wolverines are about to meet.

Fin Fang Foom is attacking S.H.I.E.L.D. and is up to Laura to stop him while at the same time trying to save the older version of Logan who has suddenly appeared.

This has very little connection to Civil War II aside from the appearances of Iron Man and Captain Marvel but it works so, so well as it is.

Tom Taylor brings another fun chapter where he focuses on the silly premise of Wolverine fighting against Fin Fang Foom. Fortunately, the writer realizes how ridiculous concept is and goes full with by creating an entertaining adventure full of jetpacks, giant dragons and jokes.

The characterization works pretty well. Laura is still quite competent while Gabby brings the adorable moments by trying to be a superhero. Iron Man and Captain Marvel are also well-integrated into the story with some funny lines here and there between them. Is quite satisfying.

Marcio Takara handles the artwork and is pretty solid with expressive characters and intense action scenes. He even manages to recreate some classic Wolverine moments with Laura.

Quite enjoyable issue, now I wonder where is the story going with Old Man Logan?
