Midnighter's mission to free the world from scum continues.
A little girl has been kidnapped by people who are currently using technology from the Garden and are planning to experiment on her. Now, Midnighter will have to stop them and at the same time learn what's really happening here.
Yeah, this was quite the read.
Steve Orlando delivers a new chapter of this story by concentrating in two things: Lucas' mission about saving a child and his relationships and both points are executed extremely well.
The objective of finding the culprits manage to explore more about the kind of technology that exists in the Garden as well as demonstrating Midnighter's abilities and personality in pretty interesting ways. There are sub-plots going on about this too and they will most certainly play important roles in the future.
The writer also focuses on develope Lucas' current relationships while at the same time making it contrast with his ex-boyfriend Apollo who obviously still has a lot of influence over the protagonists.
And the final pages are certainly promising.
ACO brings one of his strongest works in art duties by creating really inventive layouts that represent Midnighter's skills perfectly and the storytelling manages to stay on point too.
Excellent issue, one of the best this week once again.
