The law has been corrupted and Superman will have no choice but to face it.
After beating a cop for his abuse, Clark will fortunately discover that he was just one of the shadow creatures that were attacking him but the problem is not over since real humans are still trying to stop him.
The story certainly covered that moment pretty nicely.
In the last chapter, Greg Pak played with some social issues including brutality towards the common man and while in this one we discover that it was just a monsters, the themes continue to be explored in an interesting way.
Superman still needs to deal with how the law doesn't want him to be here but the rest of the people actually does and while some of the authorities apparently don't know any better, some of them are on his side. It's still a realistic and complex perspective from this event.
The characterization continues to be solid with Clark acting the way you would expect but still becoming more and more relatable and human with each new chapter.
Plus, there are also some classic inspiring Superman moments. We all are Superman indeed.
Aaron Kuder remains in charge of the pencils and his work maintains the usual beautiful style with incredibly clear storytelling that manages to make the script much stronger.
Excellent issue, this continues to be the best Superman book on the stands.
