The new President of the United States needs the help of the people.
Beth is decided to make her new job work and for that she will need to hire some of the best minds from this ridiculous world to save the nation.
Well, this got offensive pretty fast.
I mean, Mark Russell continues his satire by making fun of inept politicians that are taking the nation to hell but at the same time he also seems to be creating a whole bunch of "strawmen" (for those who don't know, a "strawman" is someone who is against the author's beliefs and is presented in the most extreme and stupid way possible) to try to beat anyone who opposes his opinions quite easily.
Yes, this story is not supposed to be taken seriously (unless of course, the CORRECT OPINIONS of the author present it as such) but when he starts to make people who believe in God as drooling idiots and someone who is against the Government and calls Gargamel from the Smurfs "a metaphor about how Capitalism consumes everything" and we're supposed to believe he's smart then one can't help but feel like this might be a little biased.
Ben Caldwell continues on art duties and his work is great, the style is certainly adequate and he manages to get the best from the satire despite of how one-sided it can be.
Yep, didn't really like this one. Not sure what to think about the future.
I don't think you have to agree with every stated opinion. The basic thrust of Prez is an acknowledged public cynicism toward politics. Basically this is the comic book for anyone trying to figure out why Donald Trump is popular right now.
ResponderBorrarI suppose you're right but still some of these arguments rubbed me the wrong way.
