The new Batman and Superman will need to face the current threat together despite of their differences.
Clark is still risking his life by trying to save others despite of his current mortality while Jim Gordon is investigating about if he should be able to trust him. However, both will learn that there are bigger matters at hand due that one of the most powerful members from the Justice League is actually helping the current threat.
Greg Pak really knows how to use this crossover correctly.
In fact, Truth hasn't really been a mandated crossover event as much as an opportunity to tell different tales with this new status quo. This chapter is not really connected to what happened in Action Comics due that it doesn't follow that plot whatsoever but it honestly works for the better due that it follows its own story.
Speaking about the story itself, is mostly character-oriented and it definitely delivers in that regard. Pak is able to portray both Clark and Jim perfectly with both of them showing how the recent experiences have been changing them and how they're planning to solve them in their own way.
Also, I wasn't expecting that last page.
Ardian Syaf continues on art duties and his work is still one of his best with really expressive characters and detailed action.
Pretty enjoyable issue. Hope the series continue this way.
