The Justice League will need to start to work together before it's too late.
Several things have changed since they were resurrected and probably the most worrisome is that Lois Lane is now in the body of Ariel Masters secretely manipulating the whole team. However, they might destroy themselves before she does it.
Can I say that I loved this issue? Because I certainly did.
Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis continue their reinvention of the 31st Century by developing how the law and society works in this universe and how the Justice League feels useless because of it. However, there's a bigger emphasis in this chapter about the relationships between the characters and that's where it shines the most.
The interactions between Superman and Batman, Wonder Woman and Guy Gardner, Supergirl and The Flash, all of them are wonderfully done and manage to tell a lot about the characters. These kind of characterization works wonderfully to get to know the cast and also contains a lot of entertaining humour.
The content is great, every page is packed with so much story that it could have been easily been told in two issues in other series, but not here. Being either the dynamic between the characters, the Superbuddies, Lois Lane's plans, etc. There are several plot-points progressing. You get a lot of bang for your buck.
Howard Porter remains in art duties and his work is still incredibly complex with every panel having a lot of detail.
Great installment, yet another of my favorites.
