Ms. Marvel is finally going to meet her role model.
At the edge of the Apocalypse, Captain Marvel appears to help Kamala save her brother who has been kidnapped by the people who has been terrorizing her life all this time. However, even if they find him it might be too late.
This is pretty much what I was expecting and that's great because I was expecting it to be pretty good.
G. Willow Wilson delivers another chapter from this Secret Wars tie-in story where she barely touches the main event and that works for the better since you don't need to know anything about Secret Wars to get and enjoy this story.
The first encounter between these heroines is executed pretty appropriately since Kamala goes in all fangirl mode once that she finally meets her idol. Their personalities contrast nicely with an overly excited Kamala and overly competent and serious Carol but still, the former manages to have pretty good moments by proving how good she can be at her job.
Adrian Alphona is still in charge of the artwork and his style continues to be incredibly beautiful with really expressive characters and detailed storytelling.
Great issue and I can't wait how to see how this story concludes.
