The city needs Batman once again.
After having an unique conversation with a strange man, Bruce will realize that Mr. Bloom can't be stopped by Gordon and he will have to take his final decision.
Some things worked, others didn't.
For one, Scott Snyder delivers at the beginning a pretty interesting interaction between Bruce and a man who might or might not be the Joker. This conversation hints at how they were lost in their previous lives and now they have finally found peace but they somehow are forced to become who they used to be. It's a pretty compelling scene that makes you realize how similar they actually are.
On the other hand, the part where Mr. Bloom appears doesn't work as well. The author tries to convince us that Mr. Bloom actually can sell the idea that if people become like him, they will be like Batman and it simply doesn't work. Especially considering that they knew who Batman actually was and what he fought for. Even in the case that they wanted to stop Mr. Bloom, is still quite the risk to take. Although at the very least, the reason why Bruce comes back is understandable.
Greg Capullo continues in art duties and his work is still great looking with excellent storytelling that makes the best of the script.
I'm on the fence about this but I still think is worth checking out.
