The students have no other choice but remain inside while The Custodian deals with the horde of Jokerized people and there's no better moment to tell stories about the culprit than this.
Well, this is exactly how tie-ins should be handled.
Becky Cloonan and Brenden Fletcher utilize the premise of the Endgame event to focus on little horror stories that are obviously connected to the Joker but only in a superficial way so they can also stand on their own.
It's also necessary to mention that the writers reveal an important detail about one of the supporting characters here and it was a nice surprise.
Speaking about the style of the stories, this is thanks to the different artists who work in the issue with Jeff Stokely handling the main sequences and Clio Chiang, Joy Ang and Vera Brosgol handling the short tales
It bears to add that the last three artists also write such tales, they're really creative and entertaining whle starring kids just like the ones who are telling such stories and all of them present a different style thanks to their respective pencillers.
Really good issue, probably one of my favorite Endgame tie-ins.
