Some thoughts about Futures End #48

Has the future changed?

Tim Drake has arrived to the time where Terry McGuinnis came from and he's ready to confront whatever happens here.

Okay, I will get this out of the way: This doesn't really work as a conclusion.

First of all, some of the sequences simply don't work with Tim as Batman Beyond. Once that the confrontation with the current timeline occurs Tim starts saying "I failed" which doesn't hold much weight since this wasn't really his mission, it was Terry's and seeing how he was robbed of such moment is a bit disappointing.

Worst of all, the story doesn't really end here and presents a quite unsatisfying final page considering everything that happened.

Some of the segments work with the relationships but overall, the things that happen here are not that relevant.

Scott Hanna, Freddie William II, Andy McDonald and Stephen Thomson are in charge of art duties and fortunately, their styles remain consistent over the course of the issue.

Still, this is a really underwhelming issue and I think we should have gotten something better.
