Some thoughts about Convergence: Batman and the Outsiders #1

The Outsiders are powerless, what will they be able to do now?

Despite that most of the team are still trying to help others, they can't help but miss their old abilities, aside from Metamorpho who seems happier than ever. However, once that they're forced to fight against and army of superpowered beings, they will need to adapt once again.

This was actually better than I expected.

Marc Andreyko delivers a story focusing on the classic roster of The Outsiders and the author manages to create great moments for each one of them. The characterization is pretty strong with each member of the cast being likable and showing nice scenes that perfectly represent the kind of persons they are.

Metamorpho especially gets some nice segments based on his lack of powers and how this affects the relationship with his wife. Speaking about relationships, there are some interesting examples between Katana and Halo as well as Batman with the rest of the group.

Carlos D' Anda is in charge of the artwork and is really beautiful. He has a pretty good skill at depicting action scenes and strong moments with every character looking beautiful.

Pretty nice issue, hope the miniseries continues this way.
