Being trapped inside of the dome for a year hasn't stopped neither Kara or Clark who now will need to go to the Phantom Zone to try find a solution for their problems. However, once that they arrive, Supergirl might start having visions of her inevitable fate.
Pre-Crisis on Infinite Earths Supergirl is back and written by the man who killed her no less.
Don't let that previous statement fool you since Marv Wolfman does a surprisingly solid job at writting her. The author pays a lot of respect for the character by focusing on her previous history with Clark and how he actually admires some of her best qualities.
The characterization is quite strong with Kara being really competent and showing how decided she is. The only weakness here is the cliffhanger which is not really good.
The art is provided by Roberto Viacava who is able to capture the style of the Silver-Bronze Age perfectly with both Superman and Supergirl. Plus, it was great to see the headband back on her.
Nice issue honestly, hope the conclusion also delivers.
