Some thoughts about Worlds' Finest #21

"First Contact" part 3 (Or is it 4? Who knows?).

Power Girl has been tricked by Kaisen Gamorra and now both the World's Finest from two earths are in peril. However, the portal that has just been opened by Gamorra might contain the connection to Earth 2 that Helena and Karen were looking for.

Okay, first of all, DC sucks at releasing crossovers, this was supposed to be part 4 and we won't see the continuation of this story until a few more weeks in Batman/Superman.

To be fair though, this still serves perfectly as part 3. The events that occur here are the immediate continuation of what happened in the previous issue of World's Finest and the story keeps surprisingly moving at a good pace.

Plus, the characterization was simply stellar. Power Girl is still an unlikable brat but the rest of the cast shined here, there were great little moments like Bruce and Helena bro-fisting and nice personal segments too.

Also, the connection to Earth 2 seems to be building towards something, hope that we see more of it.

R.B. Silva provides the art once again but this time his work seems to suffer a lot, probably for the different inkers and colorists but also doesn't look as refined as usual.

Anyway, this was another surprisingly fun issue. Shame about the delay though.
