Some thoughts about Red Lanterns #29

The Red Lanterns got the kind of addition to their team that they were waiting for, but are they able to handle her?

Supergirl has been overwhelmed by rage and she thinks that's best direction for her life right now, but both Guy Gardner and Superman don't seem to think the same and they will try to get the best from this situation despite of their beliefs.

What can I say about this issue guys? I will give you this, it was simply perfect.

Perfect characterization, perfect pacing, perfect humour, perfect action, perfect dialogue, etc. Seriously, this is the best written issue I've read this week so far.

The portrayal of the Red Lanterns is excellent. Guy Gardner, Zilius Zox, Skallox they all demonstrate an unique twist to their personalities that made them different from one another and their most recent addition, Supergirl, has shown, more character development here than in the most recent issues from her own series, even Superman was incredibly on-point here too. All the little details that Soule is able to reveal about their backstories makes this a really compelling read.

This was a fantastically done character focused issue where all the right ingredients mix correctly.

Alessandro Vitti continues to be the ongoing artist here and as I mentioned before, his work continues to improve, he's able to inject a lot of details to the different setting and characters but with a more refined tone than in his early issues.

Best issue from this series yet, it was just pure fun.
