Some thoughts about Ms. Marvel #2

Kamala's biggest dream has just come true but is she ready to face with the ramifications?

Transformed into her idol Ms. Marvel, Kamala finds herself completely disoriented due to her new appearance and powers but she understands that the most important thing right now is to help people that are being affected by the same event that caused her change, even if that brings some problems later with her family.

Second issue of this new ongoing series and it's already one of my favorites. This creative team has sold me on the character and story.

G. Willow Wilson's story takes a different route this time by focusing in the strange powers that Kamala just acquired while also having a huge emphasis in which kind of girl she is and how she decides to use her new abilities. I must say that she's one of the most likable teenage heroines from these days and I love how geeky and adorable she is.

The plot continues to give details about Kamala's culture and it's a quite compelling introduction to people who want to know more about it. I truly enjoy when comics use these kind of aspects, it makes the story much denser.

Of course, half of the credit for the quality of this chapter is Adrian Alphona's pencils. His art is simply beautiful, expressive and depicts both the story and characters in a way that enhance the story that they're trying to tell.

Wonderful issue. Best teenage book in the stands people.
