Some thoughts about The Flash #29

The mystery of the Keystone Killer is going to be finally solved but will Barry get all the answers he's looking for?

The Flash along with Deadman are trying their best to save all the citizens from Central City who are being possessed by the murderous ghost so they can commit his terrible crimes and his next target is one of the people who is closest to Barry.

The final issue from Brian Buccellato's last story in this title, does it deliver?

I would say yes, at least for the most part.

This three issue arc focused in the supernatural aspect of Central City while building a bit of its history along with an interesting mystery involving the death of Barry's mother and it certainly succeeded a creating a compelling read by making an intriguing case and demonstrating how Flash' abilities work in other levels.

The character work was good too, especially the relationship between Barry and Darryl Frye who have a more complex connection that we initially believed.

There's a problem though, the biggest mystery that they were investigating wasn't truly solved. I don't know if Buccellato plans to investigate this in the future or he will let the new creative team handle it but it seems a bit disappointing.

Agustin Padilla replaces Patrick Zircher on pencils and while his work is not as refined, it still creates a similar tone and atmosphere and looks quite solid in some segments.

Good issue but I think they should have delivered a more satisfying chapter for this conclusion.
