The Hunt for Robin starts here!
Ra's Al Ghul has stolen the corpses of both Talia and Damian and Batman will do whatever it takes to recover the body of his son. However, Ra's will prove to be much more difficult to find and so Batman will need the special assistance of Aquaman to stop the madman.
Speaking as someone who lost interest on this series once that the "Batman and Two-Faces" arc started, I was definitely interested in this new storyline that was going to focus in a team-up quite similar like we would have seen in Brave and the Bold and I must say this issue delivered in most of that promise.
The reason why Batman and Aquaman join forces makes perfect sense, it's not only that Aquaman is there to help Batman but he also has his own reason to caught Ra's Al Ghul, it has perfect characterization for both characters and a really good demonstration of Arthur's abilities.
One of the best parts of this issue was the art and Patrick Gleason never disappoints in that aspect. It was great to see him draw Aquaman again after his run in the main title almost ten years ago, it's pretty obvious that he really knows and loves the character due to how he depicts him. That along with some really creepy scenes, seriously some of the most scary scenes that I have seen this week in a comic, makes Gleason the highlight of this issue.
Fantastic way to start this new storyline, I will continues checking it based on the strenght of this issue alone.
