Some thoughts about Forever Evil: Rogues Rebellion #6

It's the final battle for survival in a world of villains.

The Rogues have been trying to escape from the Crime Syndicate since they took over the world but now they have decided to fight their hordes and protect Central City no matter the cost, what follows is a clash of all the criminals from earth.

I must say that I was pleasently surprised with this ending. Brian Buccellato's series has been solid so far but in this issue he delivers a quite entertaining conclusion for this miniseries.

Buccellato's characterization of The Rogues continues to be good, especially the one focusing on the Pied Piper who reveals interesting aspects of his backstory and the rest of the team deliver interesting lines about their personalities and their position in the world while also emphasizing what makes them different from other criminals.

The battle was also pretty good and shows what The Rogues are able to do despite of not being the most powerful villains in the world.

Scott Hepburn continues in art and while I'm not a fan of his cartoony and deformed style he still does a solid job at depicting the scenes and story.

Surprisingly satisfying conclusion definitely, hope that we see more of these characters in the future.

    1. I completely agree but I think it would be better if they choose a different creative team, Buccellato is an okay writer but I think we need someone with a more distinctive style.

I would personally love to see Justin Jordan writing The Rogues, he would be able to play with themes of morally grey characters and would also inject enough personality into each one of them.
