Diana will do her best to stop him but not even the combined forces of all of her allies will be enough to defeat the new Kinf of Gods. However, not all is lost since the death of Apollo will bring the rebirth of another God and such act will also produce the return of something really important for Diana.
I must say that this was a great improvement over the previous issue. The story actually moved much faster and important plot-points were quickly adressed and developed.
It's no mystery that the now legendary run of Brian Azzarello on this series is coming to its end and it seems like he wants to start resolving the different sub-plots that he has been introducing the beginning. You will see a lot of surprising moments and most of them are really pleasent ones and makes thing going full circle.
The character work is great as usual but this time it shows to be quite important for the ongoing story. A member of the cast has definitely evolved since the first time we saw her and her actions are pretty logical after all the events that ocurred.
Cliff Chiang continues to bring the definitive look for this book. Everything is just so beautiful with a great attention to detail and a quite unique style that no other penciller can mimic.
Excellent issue, probably one of the best recently.
