The threat of the Durlans keeps increasing and the only hope is to trust one of their own.
John Stewart needs to convince Von Daggle, the Durlan Green Lantern, to help them find the being who impersonated Hal Jordan and defeat their race. However, he won't accept the offer easily nor quickly enough to make the Corps realize that one of their officers is a shapeshifter.
As usual, Van Jensen shows a really great skill to depict John Stewart and every other member from the cast. The villains who are currently working for the Green Lanterns continue to be interesting and Von Daggle will most certainly be a nice addition to the cast. Everything is accompanied with solid dialogue that gives these characters much more personality.
I also have to mention that I enjoy how the Durlan sub-plot has been progressing. Since the beginning of his run, Jensen has been giving us little hints about what their plans are and he continues doing it despite that he's not co-writing the title with Robert Venditti anymore. It helps to make both the main Green Lantern book and this title and much more cohesive read.
Bernard Chang's pencils are wonderfully detailed and tell the story perfectly while Marcelo Maiolo's colors help everything look much more vibrant and powerful.
Solid issue overall, I will say though that I wish that Van Jensen would start telling different stories that are not so connected to the main title to see what he's able to do.
