Some thoughts about Green Arrow #29

Komodo has finally gained control of The Outsiders, who will be the first to oppose him?

Ollie has just returned to Seattle after the shocking revelations he discovered on the island but he hasn't forgotten his main objective, defeat the clans and protect the city. Unfortunately, Diggle and Tockman might have other ways to reach such objective and facing The Outsiders by himself might not be the best course of action, Ollie will have to learn it the hard way.

Another great read for this creative team, each month they deliver either a bold revelation about Green Arrow's world or a shocking surprise that will give readers reason to come back in the next chapter and I'm pretty sure that this will be enough to make the audience interested.

Jeff Lemire concentrates the story this time on Seattle and the current gang war that is being caused by Richard Dragon, Diggle and Tockman are greatly portrayed and we finally get a glance of Tockman's classic alias, "The Clock King". It seems like they're already setting sub-plots for the upcoming storyline focused on Seattle and I'm glad they're thinking ahead, this is one of the reasons I love this run so much.

Ollie continues to be Ollie, always getting into something before thinking before hand which is completely on-point with the character, but oh boy, did that attitude bring him problems this time. You will have to see the last page and find out.

Andrea Sorrentino continues to demonstrate his brilliant storytelling skills while also showing the classic beauty that has become a standard of his work. Marcelo Maiolo complements his work perfectly with a set of darker colors that are an excellent fit for the atmosphere this creative team is trying to create.

Favorite pick of the week and I'm sounding like a broken record by now.
