Some thoughts about Hal Jordan & the Green Lantern Corps #43

The universe is going to get a new law force no matter if they want it or not.

The Darkstars are killing criminals in any circunstances and now the Green Lantern Corps will have to face them despite that the odds are against them.

The arc is escalating pretty quickly.

Robert Venditti offers a new installment where he explores the idea of the Darkstars as a more brutal version of the Green Lantern Corps. Apparently the history the army had has been kept which probably brings a bigger connection to John Stewart than how it initially appears and contrasts in an interesting way with their old premise.

The character work continues to shine due that the Earth Lanterns react in their respective and different way to the idea of a new police force while characters like Tomar-Tu receive more depth based on their new role as one of the antagonists. This chapter also works as a set-up for the upcoming battle that is bound to happen and hopefully will create even more exciting moments.

Rafa Sandoval handles the art and is really energetic thanks to his vibrant style that gets the best from the cosmic and character scenes.

Solid read, hope we see more of this conflict.
