Some thoughts about Ant-Man #4

Ant-Man's biggest fear has just happened.

Cassie has just been kidnapped by someone who is willing to use her to revive a pretty dangerous monster. Now Scott will be forced to team-up with C-list villains if he wants to save his daughter's life but even then it might be too late.

This series is back on track!

Nick Spencer continues his work in the book by presenting a story that might seem lighthearted at tone but it actually presents some interesting conflicts for the character. Cassie's life is in danger and Scott is obviously quite worried about her, his emotions as a father are clear.

Then again, he's obligated to search the aid of a man in a bear suit and living computer so this is clearly not a tale that takes itself too seriously. Plus, the writer makes a lot of fun of second rate villains and of Scott himself. It's pretty comedic.

Ramon Rosanas remains in pencils and his work is still quite appropriate for the title thanks to his expressive style and strong storytelling.

Great issue, hoping the best for the next chapter.
