Some thoughts about Optimus Prime #10

What is the history behind the Primes?

Alpha Trion is about to tell a tale to Optimus and his team, about how the dangers from the past could arrive once again and they need to be prepared for it.

Things are starting to get interesting here.

John Barber continues his work on this title by preparing a big story that is clearly connected to the Power of the Primes upcoming toyline and crossover. If there's something that I've always appreciated about Barber's work is his ability to work with continuity to successfully set-up a new big arc (how that arc is eventually concluded though, is another thing) and this is no different since he manages to explore Transformers' history in an interesting way that is surprisingly related to many important characters like Galvatron, Arcee, Onyx Prime, among of others and all of them are related in a way that makes sense.

Mind you, this might as well be some sort of legend since even people in the story even start doubting the logic behind it. I like how some aspects of the tale is kept ambiguos while others are clearly telegraphing what is about to happen.

Kei Zama handles the present day segments while Livio Ramondelli is in charge of the flashbacks and both do a pretty solid job during their respective parts while following the script nicely.

Good stuff so far, let's hope it continues this way.
