Reiser is certainly doomed.
After being turned into a monster, Reiser is still concerned about what his new abilities could cause to the rest of the world. However, that's not his only problem due that even stranger things are about to occur.
I'm impressed actually.
Scott Lobdell delivers a new chapter where he focuses on what the protagonist is feeling due to his recent change and does it in a pretty understandable way. The way how the writer depicts Reiser's reaction is immediately relatable despite of being such a weird situation.
The characterization is also pretty good due that Reiser is a quite likable guy by himself showing concern about others due to what he's able to do and how people see him now.
I also need to mention that this title has a kind of indie feel due that is not what you usually see in superhero comics. The direction, portrayal and overall events are more similar to sci-fi shows.
Javier Fernandez remains in art duties and his work is still quite strong with good-looking and creative layouts that allow for interesting storytelling.
Great issue, looking forward to the next one.
