The new Batman is having mroe trouble that he could have anticipated.
Jim Gordon is still getting used to the mantle and what it represents but he won't have enough time to doubt since a supervillain is about to attack Gotham and he's their only hope.
A new chapter of this new direction and boy, I'm certainly enjoying it.
Scott Snyder's characterization of Jim Gordon is great. The way how Gordon is getting used to the identity, how he interacts with some members of the classic Batman cast and also how he responds to the rest of the authority makes him completely different from Bruce Wayne and manages to create a completely different experience, almost like we were reading another book.
Speaking of Bruce Wayne, he might not be as far you might think.
I also enjoy how they're putting the kind of threats that this Batman should handle like metahumans with terrible abilities and the hints about an even bigger one coming.
Greg Capullo continues handling the pencils and his work is still outstanding with beautiful characters and excellent storytelling.
Great issue, definitely invested here.
