Some thoughts about Constantine: The Hellblazer #2

Constantine will have to find a way to solve the problems he just caused.

Different ghosts are currently torturing John due to his past actions and he's ready to get rid of them. However, even if he actually wants to help them his intentions might create something worse.

Okay, this issue pretty much continues the kind of direction that the author started in the first issue but I feel like they're starting to explore a bit more of it.

The characterization of Constantine is still a solid one with John always trying to outsmarts his opponents while at the same time trying to offer the best price to get the best result in terms of deals. This is something quite traditional that we have been seeing even in the previous volume so there are no big surprises in this case.

However, both James Tynion IV and Ming Doyle are now developing a bit more of the supernatural side of this universe and creating they're own set of mythos, characters and threats which indeed make the read a much more entertaining one.

Plus, it's good to see John returning to his roots.

Riley Rossmo is still in charge of the pencils and his work remains a good fit for the series with his unique style and storytelling skill that depicts the scenes from the script nicely.

Solid issue and it might actually be better than the last one.
