The Justice League of America will have to face one of their biggest threats ever.
Rao, the God of Krypton, has arrived to Earth and now Superman has realized that they should trust him immediately. However, the rest of the JLA is not so sure about this and they doubts could be justified.
Okay, this book is not getting better.
Bryan Hitch continues his story about the arrival of one of Superman's most famous mythos and yet he doesn't know how to execute it correctly. The premise of a God who arrives to make everyone happy and is too good to be true is something that we have seen hundreds of times before and sadly the writer doesn't do much to differentiate this tale from the others.
Oh and guess what? It IS too good to be true.
The worst part is the characterization though. Superman automatically confirming that they should trust Rao is a severe case of plot-inducing stupidity since Clark would never believe in another powerful being arriving without any proof. Also, Aquaman made fun of Rao by saying that he didn't save Krypton which means that he's making fun of the death of millions of people, the hell?
Hitch's artwork is still impressive in terms of scale due to his trademarked widescreen storytelling but is still not as good as it used to be sadly.
Yeah, not liking this. There are many things going wrong for the kind of book this is.
