Stephanie Brown is back as Batgirl but is she ready for the challenge?
Steph, Cassandra and Tim are among the heroes who are trapped inside of the dome and it has been decided that Steph should be the one to fight for them but after being out of the costume for a year she might not be in her best condition.
Once again, it's quite nice to have BatSteph back.
Fortunately, the premise and writing are pretty solid too. Alsa Kwitney is able to get Stephanie's voice perfectly just with the right amount of dorkiness that you would expect from the character, not only that but she also portrays her as quite competent and distinctive when she's not wearing the mantle, especially when she has to face Killer Moth, it was a pretty nice moment of characterization.
The humour is really good too with the dialogue delivering several jokes. Speaking of dialogue, the character interactions was pretty enjoyable, Steph and Cass' in particular due that their chemistry and relationship was depicted in a really entertaining way.
The art is provided by Rick Leonardi and he does a solid job with character's expressions and the storytelling remains clear for the most part.
Great issue. Hope that the next is equally as good.
