Some thoughts about Justice League Dark #33

Deadman has been missing the world of the living, he might get what he wishes for.

Despite of making peace with his current state a long time ago, Boston still desires some of the best things that life can bring and such desire brings him back to Nanda Parbat and makes him meet the person who made the being he is currently. Now, the rest of the Justice League Dark are decided to help him despite of the mysterious events that are happening in that place.

Great supernatural concepts, nice characterization and worldbuilding, what more can you ask for?

J.M. DeMatteis developes a story with a familiar premise but one that still touches new territory. This is mostly a Deadman focused issue but one that works pretty well by exploring some of the character themes from his past but also making him understandable enough due to his current situation. The rest of the cast also receive some pretty good moments and the dynamic between all of them is pretty entertaining.

However, my biggest congratulations belong to the addition of mythos and this is where this issue especially shined. The writer manages to include several different concepts by exploring many mystical beings and places while also making them compelling enough to be interested on them.

Oh and the content was also worth noticing, you will get a lot of story for your money.

Andres Guinaldo continues to be in art duties and his technique to create supernatural settings and creatures is really good, it's pretty evident here that his especialty resides on depicting such aspects.

Pretty good issue overall, I really enjoy the route they're taking.
