Some thoughts about Daredevil #5

What is the greatest trick the Devil ever pulled?

Foggy Nelson is dead as far as the world knows but how did that happen? Matt and Foggy had to face a criminal who resembles a lot of one of Daredevil's old enemies and to save the whole city, one of them will have to sacrifice his life.

It's good to see that this plot-point is finally being explored.

Mark Waid continues his outstanding work in the Daredevil series with another one-and-done tale focusing on both Matt and Foggy and their plan, Matt's plan to be specific, to fake Foggy's death. The situation presents an interesting idea about how to pull such stunt but it works perfectly based on the events that happen in this issue.

The solution for such sub-plot is actually pretty logical all things considered and gives the Foggy's character a well-deserved resolution for his new status-quo, it also explores his friendship with Matt that makes the ending quite heartwarming.

Chris Samnee continues to deliver one of the best samples of storytelling in the industry thanks to his beautiful and expressive art that as usual makes Waid's script much stronger.

Excellent issue, one of the best Marvel reads from this week.
