Recommendations from Comixology's Suicide Squad 101 Sale

All right people, Comixology is once again offering a new digital sale this time based in this classic series starred by villains to prepare the audience for the upcoming new volume.

And as always I'm here to give you some suggestions:
  • Suicide Squad Vol. 1: This series written by John Ostrander is what started everything and created one of the best reads of its time introducing classic characters to the team that would become icons like Amanda Waller, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Rick Flag, etc. This series would explore different themes that no other DC series actually used in those years. Unfortunately, this sale only offers the first 50 issues, they're still worthy.
  • Suicide Squad Vol. 2: An usually forgotten but still quite good series written by Keith Giffen, the author would go for a different route from Ostrander by introducing Sgt. Rock as the leader of the group and making nobody saf3e. People will die in this volume, a lot, it's still a highly recommended series.
  • Suicide Squad Vol. 3: This serves as a sequel to the first volume also written by John Ostrander and touches some of the plot-points previously ignored. If you liked Ostrander's first run in the title uyou to check this out.
  • Suicide Squad Vol. 4: I have talked in the past about the New 52 series written by Adam Glass, Ales Kot and Matt Kindt and my opinion remains the same. Glass' work on the title is still the most consistent but the others are not really bad.
Hope this helps and excites you for the new series.
