Some thoughts about Afterlife with Archie #6

The fate of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch might be worse than what anyone could have imagined.

After the terrible mistake she committed of reviving a dead dog to make a friend happy, Sabrina was forced to leave home an enter a strange place where people like her reside. Her problem don't end there though since lately she has been having really terrifying dreams that could foretell what it's about to happen to her.

This is basically an interlude between the last storyarc from the previous chapter from this series and the upcoming one. It's also focused on Sabrina as you would have guessed already but it's a terrifying and creepy as you would expect.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa delivers a horrific story that finally explores what happened to Sabrina after her aunts punished for resurrecting Hot Dog and therefore creating the zombie epidemy that destroyed Riverdale.

A one-and-done story that dwells into the character's psyche that makes you fascinated and guilty at the same time, I'm mostly talking in my case of course since I'm pretty familiar with the character thanks to the T.V. series which was a nice part of my childhood so seeing her in this kind of situation is something that makes me quite apprehensive but for some reason I can't stop reading. That's exactly what I love about this series so much.

It's pretty obvious that writer is preparing us for the upcomng Sabrina series and this issue does a good job at building anticipation for it since anyone interested in the character would want to know what happens next after the cliffhanger from the last page.

Francesco Francavilla continues as the ongoing artist and of course he does an outstanding job, his characters are beautiful but he also creates quite horrifying events for them to face, he has cemented a pretty unique tone for this series that it would be difficult for any other writer to replicate.

Fantastic issue but that's what you would expect from this title already so no surprises there.
