Hawkman and Hawkwoman are decided to kill every person who opposes them in their road to conquest. However, both Barbara and Dick are not ready to quit the fight no matter if they chances of victory are minimal.
The last Nightwing and Oracle story (at least for now) concludes here, how does it fares?
Well, I would say pretty nicely.
Gail Simone delivers her final work in one of the characters that made her famous, Barbara Gordon/Oracle, and she manages to do it in a way that creates a closure for that particular era. The battle against the Thanagarian warriors is really well-portrayed and makes both Barbara and Dick look particularly good.
Most of the focus goes especially to Barbara and it was really appropriate to see her being as competent as ever despite that her enemy is way stronger than she is. It definitely brings good memories back.
Jan Duursema provides the artwork and she does fantastic job by creating beautiful and expressive characters, detailed action scenes and solid storytelling.
Great issue, going to miss these characters.
