Some thoughts about Convergence: Supergirl: Matrix #2

Supergirl is about to enter a world of insanity.

Ambush Bug has just appeared and he's ready to make things even more complicated once that he brings Supergirl and Lady Quark with him into different worlds that make absolutely no sense, but just as he says: The plot demands it.

Oh my God, this was glorious!

Keith Giffen delivers one of the craziest and most entertaining stories from this event by focusing on one of his classic creations, Ambush Bug. The character not only brings the sense of humour that is now usual from him and his creator but also a new level of madness that makes the story even more hysterical.

The plot itself doesn't have any sense, the author knows it and exploits adequately. Giffen manages to make the best of this crossover by not focusing on it at all and instead telling the most incoherent and hilarious take that he could have imagined while at the same time using the premise of different worlds. It's just wonderful.

Timothy Green II's artwork is perfect for this story thanks to his cartoony style, beautiful and expressive characters and gorgeous scenarios.

Best Convergence tie-in so far. Wish more titles were like this.
