Captain Marvel will have to join forces with Batman if he wants to defeat the true evil behind the attacks.
The people from both Fawcett and Gotham City are forced to defend themselved from the multiple forces that are destroying them and it's up to Billy Batson to realize who has been the culprit.
Once again, this works great as story on its own.
Jeff Parker brings the final chapter of this little story by focusing on both Captain Marvel and Batman but especially the former fortunately and showing what makes him such a classic and likable hero while also giving the spotlight to some of the other heroes from Fawcett City.
The appearance of a Batman from another universe was also interesting since he comes from a different time and all the characters related to him have their own unique twists, especially the villains.
The identity of the main villain is pretty logical and the ending is thankfully satisfying.
Doc Shaner continues to handle the pencils and his work is one of the best things about this chapter with a beautiful cartoony style that evokes the classic tales of this character.
Great issue, sad to see this team go.
