Aquaman is about to face an opponent that is impossible to kill.
Deathblow has been assigned the mission of killing Arthur and he's decided to use any advantage he has against him. However, he will soon realize that Aquaman is more resourceful than he thought.
Okay, colour me frikking surprised!
Tony Bedard's story is better than decent, I would dare to even call it pretty good. The writer focuses on some really interesting aspects about how Aquaman's powers work and how they can function even with a lack of water. It was a pretty inventive use of his abilities.
Not only that but the character work is pretty satisfying too. Bedard focuses on what makes Arthur the kind of person he is and how others actually consider him dangerous, everything was quite on-point.
Cliff Richards also delivers a pretty good work on art duties thanks to his semi-realistic and detailed style that makes every scene stronger.
Good issue, definitely better than I expected.
