Can the Trinity saves themselves?
Circe's plans are coming into fruition, that is unless Batman has a plan to save all of them without causing any more damage.
God, this story has been useless as a whole.
Rob Williams brings the conclusion of this arc and does it in the most clueless way possible. There are a few positives aspects I guess, one could say that there are actually some moments that explore characterization in an unique way and given a bit more time, those moments could have become redefining for villains like Circe.
The problem is that those moments are never given, the story ends abruptly without any of these characters receiving much development and all of this is just to fulfill a unremarkable story that focuses too much on its ideas to actually deliver something with substance.
What do I mean by this you ask? Well, there's no better example that the line that Superman says at the end: "Nobody dies today" which was a pretty anticlimactic manner to end the storyline since it could have gone better by showing a bit more. That's not the problem though since to save everyone from the possession Batman actually had to KILL them to make the spirits inside of them go away. So yes, people actually DIED today which ultimately contradicts the whole "theme" the plot has been going for. This is typical for Williams, he tries to include ideas but doesn't know how to put them together appropriately and most of the time, ends-up being contradicting himself in stupid ways.
V. Ken Marion's artwork is pretty good though with refined character models and strong action scenes. Would like to see more of him.
Other than that, glad that Robinson is taking over this title.
