Can Hal Jordan face his counterpart from the Dark Multiverse?
The Dawnbreaker has arrived to Coast City and is willing to take everyone into the void and not even Hal could be able to stop him.
Well, this was an interesting encounter.
Robert Venditti delivers a tie-in from the metal event that plays with the idea of the two main Green Lanterns from their respective universes fighting. The characterization is pretty solid from Hal's case due that he shows a lot of confidence in his actions and role while respecting a lot of his history by delivering a few references to his past here and there.
The sense of continuity is also solid since the writer implements some of the plot-points that he has been developing over the course of the series and that puts the battle in other perspective. Mind you, the end has already been revealed by upcoming installments in the event.
Ethan Van Sciver and Liam Sharp share the pencils and their work is pretty competent and consistent over the course of the read being able to contrast the light and darkness segments really well.
Solid installment but I'm glad that we're returning to the main story in the next one.
