Can Harley Quinn save her loved ones?
Mason Macabre has been kidnapped by the Mayor and is up to Harley to find a way to stop this from escalating.
Well, is closing time all right.
Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner offer a new installment where they're pretty much dealing with all the sub-plots they've created so far and preparing the series for the conclusion of their run. The humour is once again enjoyable but the best part comes from the different interactions that Harley has with the rest of the cast and in some cases shows a certain level of self-awareness about all the development that has been happening during the course of her run and it definitely brings some closure to her arc.
I've some issues though like for example, it was initially revealed that the Mayor hated Mason because he killed his son but now it turns out that the victim was actually his son in law and the only reason why he hated Mason is because his daughter keeps complaining to him about how her source of income is gone. Mind you, the original reason of the Mayor's hatred was at the beginning of their run back when he was more of an actual character but half-way he turned into some kind of stereotypical evil righ guy/Trump caricature because of the result of the elections so they probably wanted to make his motivations more selfish and I don't think they really work here.
John Timms handles the artwork and is quite good as usual thanks to his vibrant and cartoony style that gets the best from the violent scenes.
Enjoyable despite of some issues, hope the conclusion is worthy.
