Some thoughts about All-New Wolverine #27

The Wolverine family will have to fight to survive.

Laura has just found her mother but Daken believes that there's something suspicious about her appearance and the Orphan of X's.

This story continues to be as exciting as usual but with the usual issues as well.

Tom Taylor opens a new chapter bringing tons of intrigue and personality. The way how he handles the character of Daken is pretty solid, he manages to maintaing his classic charisma while showing how smart he can be as well. Laura and Gabby's portrayals remain great and the interactions between the whole family is a joy to watch thanks to fun and natural dialogue.

And of course, there's also the classic action scenes that are a staple from this book and Taylor's work as a whole and they're quite engaging due to its fast pace... but that comes with the expected problems since this issue is a pretty fast read which, while entertaining, makes you wish that there was much more content.

Juann Cabal remains on pencils and his work is still the best this title has seen thanks to his polished style that creates beautiful and expressive characters along with clear storytelling.

Quite good but quite light, hope the next one offers more plot.
