Some thoughts about The Flash #34

Whatever happened to Flash's girlfriend?

Meena has returned and is ready to help Barry with the Negative Speed Force or at least that's what she wants him to believe.

Guess what? Another solid issue.

Joshua Williamson (along with Michael Moreci) deliver a new chapter where they bring back Meena to Barry's life in pretty interesting ways. It was pretty obvious that she was going to come back due to how her "death" was handled early in the series and Williamson implements that plot-thread surprisingly by making her much more ambitious than ever while also creating a solution to Barry's problems with the Negative Speed Force... while also creating even more problems for him.

I have a few issues though, I think that this portrayal of Meena kinda comes out of nowhere considering that she was portrayed as a genuinely good person early on and now she's a blatant villain. This reminds me of how Dr. Elias went from good guy to full psychopath during Francis Manapul/Brian Buccellato's New 52 Flash run. Hope that Williamson has an actual explanation here.

Pop Mahn's artwork is pretty appealing with a clean style that capture the kinetic nature of the book perfectly.
