Who is the best there is?
Hawkeye has just found herself in a new case that might to big for her and for that reason she will have to join forced with one of the most dangerous killing machines in the planet.
Oh my God, this is the kind of team-up I've been dying to see and I'm happy to say that it totally delivered.
Kelly Thompson offers basically an one-and-done story about the encounter between Hawkeye and the All-New Wolverine and as a fan of both titles, I'm quite glad for it. Thompson uses the classic humour and natural dialogue that she has established for this book and is quite fitting for Laura's cameo since Tom Taylor also implements a pretty similar style in All-New Wolverine. The conversations between Laura and Kare are pretty entertaining and once that Gabby is thrown into the mix things get even better. I especially laughed at the scene where Kate showed to be a bigot against clones and the reaction that it caused.
The story is pretty simple but gets to the point, classic supervillain stuff but Thompson clearly doesn't take it seriously and is quite self-aware of such premise and makes fun of it. Plus, this also works as a way to connect to the upcoming new storyline.
Michael Walsh handles the art and is really solid with strong character expressions and storytelling.
Immensely enjoyable, more like this please.
