Is Batman truly lost?
Bruce is forced to live multiple lives to try to find a way to escape but now he might not even want to escape.
Interesting read overall.
Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV and Joshua Williamson offer a story that draws quite a few parallels from Grant Morrison's Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne. People might remember that during that series, Bruce was forced to live several lives to try to escape from the influence of Barbatos and this is pretty much the same premise of the whole Metal event so is cool that this continues to create contrasts to that book along with Final Crisis.
The stories are quite diverse and they're reminiscent of Batman's early cases from the Golden Age along with a few sub-plots that Snyder created during his Batman run. It might seem like a pure callback to Morrison's work as well at times... until the end where everything changes and creates a pretty different conclusion.
Doug Mahnke, Yanique Paquette and Jorge Jimenez share the pencils and their work is really good during their respective series and all with the same level of great quality.
Enjoyable, hope there's an actual happy ending next though.
