The Aquaman needs to rise.
Atlantis continues to be under the rule of a maniacal King and now is up to Arthur to gather an army to save his kingdom. However, he's forgetting of the person most important to him.
Another satisfying read.
Dan Abnett continues his storyline by focusing on the classic worldbuilding and enjoyable characterization. The way how the author continues to develop the Aquaman mythos is quite solid by introducing different concepts that go along with the arc along with the themes that title is going for and manages to progress the plot at a fast pace.
The character work is also quite solid due to the developments most of the cast receive which includes Arthur and the multiple interactions he has with the people around him, I particularly enjoyed his encounter with Vulko. King Rath also is portrayed hilariously, he's probably my favorite current Trump parody despite that I'm already tired of them. Not to mention that Abnett also manages to include a fan-favorite character that is perfectly connected to Aquaman.
Stjepan Sejic's artwork is GLORIOUS. It gets better and better with every issue by depicting character expressions perfectly and in a way that tell the story as well. The artstyle also remainsquite special.
Great chapter, one of the best this week.
