Some thoughts about The Movement #12

Some thoughts about The Movement #10

The Movement is planning to reveal Batgirl's identity but it won't be easy.

Barbara starts having flashbacks about the time she got paralized by the Joker and this ultimately will be what gaves her the upper hand against the team. Meanwhile, the metahuman that Barbara has been chasing has decided to give up but that won't be the end of the situation.

Some thoughts about The Movement #9

Coral City is about to receive the visit of the Bat.

Batgirl is on the search of a metahuman with abilities that are too dangerous for him to handle and by doing so she will encounter the group that is currently protecting Coral City. The clash between both ideologies can't end well.

Some thoughts about The Movement #8

The final battle against The Graveyard Faction could prove to be truly disastrous.

Mouse has been heavily injured and Vengeance Moth is about to suffer an even worse fate. Now, the remaining members of The Movement will have to face this twisted team of metahumans if they want to survive.

Some thoughts about The Movement #7

Mouse got almost killed by the Graveyard Faction what will happen to the rest of the team?

Vengeance Moth is on her own after The Movement went to find their injured teammate and she will have to handle the new group of so called superheros of Coral City by herself unless Burden is able to see the thruth about himself.

I have to say that I really enjoy the character moments that Gail Simone is creating for this series. The past of Vengeance Moth is finally being explored and there are some nice surprises about her character, even the main villain receives his own moment of characterization and the interaction with his father who is also a different kind of villain was pretty well done. The story is progressing satisfactorily.

Still, I wish there were more team dynamics, the previous issue delivered on that front but this one not so much which is a shame since I think that's when Simone's writing really shines.

Freddie Williams II is consistent as ever, creating powerful and vibrant moments.

Solid issue but not as good as the last one.

Some thoughts about The Movement #6

The Graveyard Faction is taking over Coral City.

Mouse is the only member from The Movement who is able to face him at the time but will his best efforts be enough to stop them? Also, Virtue will have to make a fake exorcism if she wants to save Burden from his own mind.

This was a great issue all-around. Gail Simone is able to inject personality and motivations on each member of the cast while also adding some charming moments to the story, the plot also progress nicely while the different threats keep increasing.

Freddie Williams II's pencils are a really important part of this series, making it expressive and creepy where it's needed.

Really satisfying read. People should be reading this book instead of that other Simone title.

Some thoughts about The Movement #5

Coral City is tired of both The Movement and the police so they're going to start hiring their own superheroes.

Both the team of socialist kids and their hostages are discussing about the good and bad points from both sides while the menace that have been hiding in the shadows is about to attack everyone with a new group of metahumans.

Pretty nice issue. Gail Simone has been consistently improving the quality of this series by presenting solid arguments about how just a few doesn't actually define others while making each of the protagonists sufficiently unique, Vengeance Moth being one of the best and showing what she's able to do.

Freddie Williams II continues his solid and expressive job being creative enough when he needs to.

Another good issue, it's a shame that this title is being overlooked.
