Ganthet and Sayd are training a new recruit but on the other side of the universe their people are being hunted by beings who are decided to get revenge.
Is great that we're getting more Green Lantern mythos back.
Robert Venditti opens a new storyarc focusing on the rest of the Guardians of the Universe and what is about to happen to them. The use of established continuity works solidly here due that the author implements all the events that happened to the Guardians to create an interesting set-up for future stories which include their inevitable encounter with their nemesis.
Plus, there are also good character moments that involve the whole cast including the appearance of the new Green Lantern Somar Le who is bound to become one of the cutest characters in the book. Her interactions with the rest of the cast bring lighthearted scenes that greatly appreciated.
Tom Derenick handles the breakdowns while Jack Herbert finishes the artwork and the result is a pretty solid style in terms of storytelling and character expressions.
Quite enjoyable, excited for the next one.
